Urban Air Pollution and Citizen Science: The Case of MI-TRAP

Webinar: Reducing Air and Noise Pollution – Nature-Based Solutions for Cities

On Thursday, 4 June 2026 (12:00–13:00 CET), the Net4Cities project will host an online webinar titled β€œNature-Based Solutions for Cities: Reducing Air and Noise Pollution.” The event will bring together researchers and practitioners to explore how Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) can contribute to quieter, cleaner, and more livable urban environments.

Colleagues from the MI-TRAP will participate in the session, sharing recent research insights on the role of NbS in reducing exposure to air pollution and environmental noise in cities.

The webinar will highlight how interventions such as street trees, green roofs, vegetated corridors, and green noise barriers can help mitigate urban pollution while also delivering important co-benefits for public health, climate resilience, and overall urban quality of life.

During the session, participants will be introduced to:

  • Latest findings from the Net4Cities project
  • Research results and perspectives from MI-TRAP
  • Evidence on the effectiveness of Nature-Based Solutions in urban settings
  • Broader implications for healthier and more sustainable cities

The event will take place online via Zoom. The participation link will be sent to registered attendees via confirmation email.
