More than 2700 visitors at Open Day 2025

On April 5th, Instituto Superior Técnico opened its doors to over 2,700 visitors for its annual Open Day, offering a wide range of free activities for all ages. The Alameda campus hosted interactive exhibitions, lab tours, and hands-on experiences, allowing the public to explore the research and academic life across Técnico’s three campuses.

Among the featured projects, MI-TRAP goals and ongoing work were presented by theC2TN-IST research team, focusing on the impact of urban transport hubs on air quality and public health. Visitors of all ages engaged with the team to learn about emerging pollutants, air quality monitoring, and the scientific approaches used to evaluate exposure risks. The event provided an excellent platform to raise awareness about environmental challenges in cities and to highlight the importance of research in shaping healthier, more sustainable urban spaces. Interest was high, with many curious minds stopping by to ask questions and explore the tools and data used in the project.
